Inspired by DC’s thermal detonator<\/a>, and taking a break from making scratch built props and sabers, I decided to make a found parts communicator from some things I had banging around in my parts box.<\/p>\n

Right now it’s just a dumb batter and LED setup with no electronics (a stunt communicator??) but I may add some things later.<\/p>\n

The weathering was fun and I’m really happy with the way it came out. First I put some ink and paint on it in layers and wipes, then I shook it around in a box of metal parts, then I beat it up with a file. Finally I hit it with some more ink and paint then a clear coat to seal it all in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
